Thief 4 is Coming From Eidos Montreal.

Rejoice PC gamers, one of our (well, certainly mine) favorite franchises is making a return! When Eidos decided to open a games studio in Montreal, Canada many speculated what the new team could possibly be working on. We were hoping that weò€™d see a revival of the Thief franchise, and today weò€™re going to get what we want. Eidos Montreal is working on Thief 4. "We"re in the early development stages for Thief 4, but this is an incredibly ambitious and exciting project for Eidos," StÓ©phane D"Astous, General Manager at Eidos-MontrÓ©al, told Kotaku. "While it"s too early for us to offer any specific game details, right now we are focused on recruiting the very best talent to join the core team at the studio and help us make what we believe will be one of the most exciting games on the market." This marks the third studio to hand the Thief property since its inception. The now-defunct Looking Glass Studios developed the first two entries with Ion Storm Austin picking up the third. Eidos Montreal is responsible for developing Deus Ex 3, which was also a former Ion Storm Austin project.
