Primera announces Blu-ray disc publishing system.

Primera today said that it will be shipping a Blu-ray enabled disc publishing system in April of this year. The "Bravo XR-Blu Disc Publisher" integrates Pioneer"s BDR-101A Blu-ray Disc/DVD Recorder and can be loaded with up to 50 single- or dual-layer discs at a time. The device connects via USB 2.0 to a Windows 2000/XP PC and comes with Primera"s Bravo XR-Blu recording and mastering software, which is based on AuthorScript Data Backup with BD Support from Sonic Solutions. The Bravo XR-Blu will first be shown at the Cebit tradeshow, which will open its doors on 9 March. Primera said the device will be shipping in April for $6000.

Tektronix intros new logic analyzers.
Tektronix announced today its new TLA7012 portable mainframe and TLA7016 benchtop mainframe logic analyzers. The mainframes are compatible with all TLA modules and provide throughput that is at least three times faster than previous mainframe models enabling faster data analysis and more rapid zooming, searching, filtering and scrolling, Tektronix said.
