Pentium 4 6xx-series available on etailer website.

The Pentium 4 6xx series has not been officially announced yet, however one of our readers spotted processors on the website of an etailer: ZipZoomFly.com offers the versions 630 (3.0 GHz), 640 (3.2 GHz) and 650 (3.4 GHz) on its website for $257, $297 and $435, respectively. According to the website, all three socket T processors are in stock. In contrast to current Prescott Pentium 4 5xx, the 6xx series integrates twice the size of L2 cache (2 MByte) and brings power management features as well as 64-bit capability to the table. Industry sources suggest Intel will introduce the new processors during the Spring Developer Forum in the first week of March. (THG)
