No Co-Op Multiplayer for BioShock 2 Shacknews is reporting that there will be no multiplayer co-op for BioShock 2, now confirmed by publisher 2K over on the company"s community site, The Cult of Rapture. "There won"t be any spliced-up rhinos, Soviet invasions, or co-op [in BioShock 2]," reads the site. "The internet has been busy these past few days with rumors about what is and is not in BioShock 2." Additionally, the game will not repeat the staggered shipments as its predecessor, BioShock, and will see a "simultaneous" release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, according to CVG. The game is expected to launch later this year. Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena Goes Gold Atari announced that Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena has gone gold, and is scheduled to land on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on April 7th in North America, and April 24th worldwide. Developed by Starbreeze Studios, Dark Arena offers a brand new 11-hour campaign along with six online multiplayer modes. In addition, the disc includes an HD remastering of The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay. "The player takes the role of Riddick, as played by Vin Diesel, using stealth and action to overcome the merciless crew of the predatory Merc-ship Dark Athena which awaits its prey in the dark reaches of space. Cheating death through a series of spectacular battles and events, Riddick will fight for his life amid a storm of malevolence and horror." Two Meridian4 Games Available Publisher Meridian4 said that two games are now available to download and purchase, Obulis and Larva Mortus, both of which are now on Steam. The former title, a physics-based hardcore casual game, is also ready to download on Impulse, GamersGate and many more. Featuring over 150 levels and a dozen themes, the goal of Obulis is to drop all of the colored spheres into their like-colored pots. As for Larva Mortus, the fast-paced action/horror game has players hunting monsters of the supernatural in a dark and ominous atmosphere full of undead, terrifying, and demonic nightmares. Both are easy on the pocket and should provide hours of PC gaming fun. For Liberty Patched Matrix Games released a new patch for its turn-based American Revolutionary War strategy game, For Liberty! The 1.82 patch addresses a few minor bugs, improves AI during sieges, and incorporates balance changes on the American map (reduction in supply and influence). Additionally, Realistic mode now has 25 percent reduced supply. Killing Floor Announced Tripware Interactive"s survival-horror co-op first-person shooter Killing Floor is coming to Steam soon, set in and around London after a mad scientist"s specimens have broken loose and gone on the rampage. The game offers a co-op mode for up to six players, however there is also a solo mode for offline play. The game features nine different monster types, over twelve weapons, persistent perks, open, non-linear play areas and more. Tripware will also include the game"s SDK for level and mod creation. Additionally, PC.IGN has an exclusive interview with Tripware Interactive here, saying that it is NOT a British version of Left 4 Dead. Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust Interviews Codemasters said that there are two new video interviews to download over on the official LSL: Box Office Bust website, featuring Jay Mohr (Larry Loveage) and Carmen Electra (Ginger Vitus). Set to hit the Xbox 360 and PC on March 31, the game will feature "saucy comedy and bombshell babes as players tackle exploration, platforming, racing, and puzzle-solving challenges to complete missions. The seriesň€™ trademark humor is in full effect as Larryň€™s new adventure takes him through parodies of Hollywoodň€™s most famous studio sets. Among the vendors, only MSI saw an on-year decline in its April motherboard shipments.
