NEC LCD Unveils 22.5" Full HD LCD Module.

NEC LCD Technologies, together with its sales and marketing channels in the Americas and Europe, NEC Electronics America and NEC Electronics (Europe), has introduced a new 22.5" amorphous-silicon WUXGA TFT LCD module. The new module features Full HD (1920ç—1080) resolution, high luminance of 460 candelas per square meter (cd/m2), a wide color gamut of 97% NTSC, and a double frame rate of 120Hz to improve motion picture performance, highlighted the company.

PC shipments continue double-digit growth in Q1 - IDC.
The worldwide PC market continued its solid expansion, in the first quarter of 2006, with year-on-year growth of 12.9%, despite an expected decline from growth of 15.9% in 2005, according to International Data Corporation (IDC). Nearly all regions were in line or slightly ahead of forecasts for the first quarter, helping boost worldwide shipment growth for the first quarter to 12.9%, slightly higher than IDC"s March forecast of 11.8%.
