Holocentric Appoints Bruce Nixon As CEO

Experienced Industry Executive to Lead Australian Enterprise Modelling Software Company"s Growth Within Australia and Internationally SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, December 16, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Leading Australian enterprise modelling software provider, Holocentric, has announced that it has appointed experienced software industry executive Bruce Nixon as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Nixon, who reports to the board of directors, takes over from Holocentric"s founder, John Forrest, who moves from CEO to Chairman. Nixon, based in North Sydney, was formerly Holocentric"s Chief Operating Officer (COO). Nixon has a brief to implement Holocentric"s strategic plan, leading an expansion both within Australia and internationally. Early in his career he worked at Myer, Telstra and Australia Post in development and architecture roles before joining a supplier of software development tools in the late 1980s. In 1991, Nixon opened the Sydney office of Advanced Software Engineering (ASE), the Australian distributor of Micro Focus. The business was sold to Micro Focus in 1998, with Nixon remaining as Managing Director of Micro Focus Australia until 2000. He joined Holocentric in 2003. Nixon holds a Bachelor of Science (major in Computer Science) from Monash University.
