It seems that those looking to bag themselves one of the new unibody versions of the 17-inch MacBook Pro are going to have to wait just a little longer.
When Apple launched the unibody version of the 17-inch MacBook Pro at Macworld earlier this month, the company said that the product would start shipping at the end of January. However, it seems some AppleInsider readers who ordered the fancy new machine have had their orders pushed back and will only receive them in the first week of March.
AI says Australian readers are receiving ship date estimates between three to four weeks after they place their orders for stock versions. Choosing the anti-glare display ups the wait time to four to six weeks after you hit the go button.
No official word from Apple yet but the site says the 17-inch Pro is shipping in two to three weeks. Best-case-scenario customers orders will ship at the beginning of February, which is past the original promised shipping date anyway.
